I am a Peace Corps volunteer and was hoping to day trip with my American family from Pokhara to the rural Biruwa municipality in Syangja to visit my Nepali host family.  Verified Memorable Mardi Himal trekking experience
My teenage daughter and I did the 5-day Mardi Himal trek in Apr 2026. It was nothing short of an amazing experience that we will remember lifelong. Earth Nepal Travel and Trek curated the trek and arrangements very well, taking care of us from the time we arrived at Pokhara airport until the time we departed from there to Kathmandu. Our guide Shova and porter Samir ensured that we were comfortable throughout the trek. Our trek began from Kande wherefrom we trekked up to Pitam Deurali on the first day and stayed there for the night. The teahouse at Pitam Deurali was very good - great food and service with complimentary hot water and wifi (not something all teahouses offer). On the second day, we made our way up to Rest Camp and by the end of day 3, we were well above the clouds at High Camp. On days 2 and 3, we started trekking around 7-730am, after breakfast. We would trek around 5-6 hours a day, breaking for lunch and tea on the way. Breakfast, lunch and dinner during the trek were covered as part of the package. Day 4 was special - we began trekking at 4am with flashlights and reached our high point of 4200 m by sunrise to stunning views of Macchapucchre, Annapurna South and other peaks. It truly felt like an achievement, particularly for a first-time trek. We were lucky to see snow (a few days old, but still good enough) at the viewpoint. After enjoying the views to our hearts' content, we descended to High Camp, has breakfast and then continued our descent. Day 4 was relatively long and tiring as we trekked about 8 hours overall before we reached our camp at Dodkharka. Day 5 was a pleasant surprise as our guide led us on a different route towards Lwang village. This route was very scenic and adventurous. We encountered nobody else on this less-beaten path. Our stopover at Lwang village was wonderful. We had some delicious food at Community Homestay 9. Our driver then picked us up and took us to Pokhara to wind up a memorable trekking and cultural experience. Our guide Shova made the journey interesting by telling us about the diverse flora along the way (not just the lovely rhododendron and magnolia trees but also the edible forest plants that are used in local cuisine and medicinal herbs that are used to treat various ailments). She ensured we took periodic breaks, kept ourselves hydrated, and also took photos and videos for us along the way. She was also our guide for our Pokhara sightseeing tour the day after our trek finished. She gave us valuable information about the spots and temples we visited. All in all, I am glad we made this trip and am thankful to Mr Dharma and his team at Earth Nepal Travel and Trek for curating this trip and making us feel so comfortable and taken care of.

 Verified Memorable hiking in Nepal
We went on a 5 day 4 night hike with Earth Nepal. From.Pokhara to Ghorepani and Poonhill for an amazing sunrise over the Himalayas. We hiked through jungle and Rhodrodendom valleys. We saw the Anupurna range on most days. It was a truely memorable experience which we'll never forget. Our guide Prince and porter Ajay really took care of us and it was a pleasure to walk with them.
